Getting to know Mary-Louise Henson

I started my career as a elementary school teacher. I have been married twice, raised a family and have been a psychotherapist for over 25 years. My clinical training, along with a two year internship with the U.S. Marine Corps combined with varied and rich life experiences, continues to provide me with a unique and evolving perspective on how people can face challenges, heal, make positive changes, healthier decisions and lead more fulfilling lives. I am able to address a wide range of clinical issues including individual, couples and blended family, gender issues, anxiety, depression, stress, personal growth, relationship challenges including infidelity, parenting issues, separation and divorce. I also have experience working with weight management issues, the fear of aging, including grief and loss and health changes. I use a holistic approach with several research-based interventions including CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method.
