“I am so grateful to have met Kat, especially when I did. She was genuinely one of the best therapists I’ve ever worked with. She made it really easy to be open without trivializing my experiences, but she also challenged me when I needed it. I made massive progress with her guidance and support. I would absolutely recommend her, and see her again myself if the opportunity presents itself. ”

“I was skeptical about trying therapy, but Kat has been a godsend. I did not expect to feel so comfortable so quickly. She listens so well, asks intelligent questions without a hint of judgement, makes suggestions that are personalized and well-informed and also equips me with knowledge in the process. I have learned a lot about myself and I look forward to our sessions every week, knowing I have a safe space to talk about absolutely anything and everything. Could not recommend her more!!! ”

Getting to know Mary Millis

Hi, I'm Kat. I'm so glad you've found your way here. I'm passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate life's challenges and rediscover their strengths. I work with kids, teens, and adults who are facing a range of struggles-whether it's healing from trauma, coping with grief or big life changes, managing tough relationships, or exploring who they are and what gives their life meaning. While a diagnosis can provide clarity, I believe the focus should always be on you-your experiences, your symptoms, and your unique path to healing and growth. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis, which informs my compassionate and individualized approach. If you'd like, we can start with a free 15-minute consult call.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have additional education in Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, but at the heart of it all, my focus is on you—your story, your goals, and creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and uniquely tailored to your needs. Healing is a deeply personal journey, and I believe it happens best when you feel truly seen, heard, and empowered. Whether we’re working through past wounds, navigating life changes, or healing through alternate states of consciousness, I’ll be here to walk alongside you every step of the way. If any of this resonates with you, let's set up a call to see how we can begin working together to reach your goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I work with people of all ages who are dealing with challenges like trauma, family dynamics, relationship struggles, or big life transitions. During our first sessions, we'll talk about what's been weighing on you, explore your goals, and map out a plan that feels doable and right for you. Trauma work especially can feel overwhelming, so I approach it gradually, letting you set the pace.

Kat is an exceptionally warm, supportive, and helpful therapist. She is strongly empathetic and has a positive radiance about her that is both refreshing and supportive. Highly recommended!
Mary was very easy to talk to, like catching up with a friend :) besides our zoom sessions she also offered at-home resources to work on at your own pace. She was very flexible with scheduling and accommodating with other options when life got busy.
