Psychotherapist
6500 Greenville Ave, Ste 430, Dallas, TX
Mary graduated from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1996 with a Master's in Counseling and holds a license in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Since acquiring her license, she has been helping adult clients navigate life's transitions and achieve their goals. She has been in private practice for over 20 years, but prior to that, she began her career at the clinic level working with seriously mentally ill patients for Dallas County. After several years in that setting, she worked in a variety of environments such as the Zale Lipshy inpatient psychiatric facility, an inpatient psychiatric geriatric unit, and became a Team Leader at Dallas Metrocare for the ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) team. Finally, finding it difficult to fit into the traditional mental health system, she worked as a contract psychotherapist at ABC Behavioral Health as an Intake Coordinator/Psychotherapist. In May 2001, she was offered an opportunity to join a private practice in the Lakewood area, where she practiced for 15 years. In 2023, she moved to a new location at 6500 Greenville Ave., Suite 430, Dallas, TX 75223, and joined the Humanly Team. In Mary's words: “Peaceful and tranquil are the words to describe my office environment. When you walk in, you immediately feel grounded and balanced. It is my highest priority that my office reflect who I am to the client from the start. My greatest strength is putting the client at ease in the first few minutes with unconditional positive regard. My clients continue to teach me with their insight, growth, and human spirit to tackle life's obstacles.”
