Psychotherapist
CA
Hi, I’m Natalie. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist offering compassionate, virtual therapy to clients throughout California. As a therapist, I believe in the healing power of self-awareness and compassionate exploration. Our work together will invite you to look gently into your past—not to stay there, but to understand it, learn from it, and reclaim your voice within it. I’ll help guide you to find your own answers—because they already live within you. But I also know that finding truth can bring up sadness, grief, rage, disappointment, and confusion. This emotional depth isn’t something to fear—it’s often the beginning of healing. My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in narrative and psychodynamic principles. I also integrate mindfulness, somatic awareness, and culturally responsive care. I’m interested not only in what has happened to you, but how you carry it, how it shows up in your body, and how it may be tied to identity, culture, or intergenerational patterns. As someone who sits at the intersection of being a person of color, Filipina, and female, I don’t view mental health through a single lens. Instead, I hold space for complexity. I’ll gently challenge you to consider how your experiences—around race, gender, class, age, family roles, and systemic factors—have shaped your relationship to mental health, safety, and self-worth. We’ll explore how you’ve had to adapt and survive, and how you can now move toward thriving. I’ve had the privilege of supporting a wide range of clients, including women navigating burnout and self-worth; caregivers carrying invisible emotional labor; seniors adjusting to loss, identity shifts, or aging; and individuals working through trauma, grief, and major life transitions. I’m particularly passionate about helping people who feel like they’ve been “strong for too long” learn how to soften, rest, and receive.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in narrative and psychodynamic principles. I also integrate mindfulness, somatic awareness, and culturally responsive care. I’m interested not only in what has happened to you, but how you carry it, how it shows up in your body, and how it may be tied to identity, culture, or intergenerational patterns.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Imagine our work together like a road trip in a jeep. You’re the driver—always. You decide where we go, how fast we travel, when to take a detour, and when to stop. I’m in the passenger seat with a map, offering suggestions and highlighting potential routes. I won’t steer for you, but I’ll be right there beside you, helping navigate the terrain, especially when the road gets rocky or unclear. Our jeep has space for more than just us. Along the way, we’ll pick up tools you may not have had access to before—emotional nourishment, boundary-setting skills, language for your feelings, and a deeper understanding of your story. We might stop and look back at where you’ve come from—your past experiences, relationships, and patterns—not to dwell there, but to gather wisdom and clarity for the path ahead. If we encounter roadblocks—grief, trauma, rage, confusion—we’ll pause and work through them together. Sometimes, we’ll need to reverse a little to make sense of what’s been missed. Other times, we’ll simply rest, refuel, and get ready to continue. This isn’t about rushing toward a destination. It’s about building a relationship with yourself as you travel. It’s about reclaiming the map that was once drawn by others—family, society, systems—and redrawing it in a way that feels honest and liberating for you. Whatever the terrain—identity, loss, transition, burnout, or healing—I’m here with you, seatbelt on, ready for the journey. This is a new place for you to be seen, heard, and held in your truth. And I’m honored to be on this journey with you.
