There are times in our lives when life is extra hard… when we don't know what to do, but we know we're not okay and need something, anything, to give. Maybe you are experiencing grief after an unexpected loss, or your family relationships feel like they are falling apart. Are you sick with worry because your teenage child is depressed, anxious, and struggling just to get through each day safely? Or maybe you are so stressed and overwhelmed by your life that it feels difficult to feel any joy anymore, and you don't have the energy to seek it out even if you could. If this is you, I commend you for seeking help! I have seen people who felt hopeless, lost, and afraid find peace and joy again. I have witnessed family relationships improve, boundaries effectively communicated, and self-respect restored. I have worked with many individuals experiencing these kinds of challenges. My experience has been with adolescents and their parents working through depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I hold a Master's in Social Work from California State University, Sacramento. As a therapist, my approach is pretty eclectic (meaning I find many therapy models valuable tools). I mainly prefer Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I value partnering with my clients, and if we choose to work together, I will explain all of the treatment options and collaboratively create a treatment plan that feels best to you. If you feel I may be a good fit for what you are looking for, please get in touch with me and schedule a free consultation call.
