What should a new client know about working with you?

Life can be really hard—if you're reading this, you probably already know that. Some days, just getting out of bed feels like a major task, and the idea of facing school or work can seem overwhelming. Maybe you're reaching for something—alcohol, substances, or anything else—just to make it through the day. Social invitations that once felt fun or relaxing now feel like a burden. You’ve tried the advice from friends or family, but despite your efforts, it still feels like you're trudging through mud, every step a struggle. I help teens and adults who feel stuck in anxiety or depression find clarity, relief, and hope. Together, we’ll gently explore the roots of these emotions, develop tools to manage them, and start creating a life that feels lighter and more connected. Many of my clients leave therapy feeling more confident, resilient, and open to the joy of real relationships and meaningful experiences. I know firsthand how hopeless life can feel—but I also know healing is possible. You're not alone, and things can get better. Let’s take that first step together.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Through active listening and calm, clear communication, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore both current and past challenges. I understand that counseling can feel intimidating, which is why my style is relaxed and conversational. When appropriate, I incorporate humor to help ease tension and build a connection. My goal is for clients to feel as though they're talking with a trusted friend over coffee—someone who offers empathy without judgment. While I may not have all the answers, we work together to find solutions that are right for you.
