Getting to know Mary Swims

Many people (13+) I work with are typically experiencing worry, anxiety, depression, lack of motivation, identity issues, relationship challenges, addiction, low self-esteem, boundary concerns, and family discord. I offer kind and compassionate care while working together to encourage, support, and guide toward healthier solutions. Finding healthy ways to cope, regulate emotions, and communicate more effectively are ways to find balance and peace within the world you live in. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Columbia University, and I would be honored to help in any way I can as we work on this together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a licensed therapist (LCSW) in GA, NJ, and NY. I have been practicing since 2016 after graduating from Columbia University. I work with ages 13 and up that have a history of addiction, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, life transitions, grief, stress, personality disorders, and/or family issues. I use solution-focused therapy using CBT, DBT, and MI.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, lack of motivation or family disfunction can feel impossible to deal with. I hope to hear from you so that we can find solutions together.
