Getting to know Mary Tarry White

I have 23 years of experience working with children, families, individuals, and adults as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. My therapy style is warm, thoughtful, and respectful. I am EMDR certified and incorporate mindfulness-based techniques and ego states interventions into my work with clients. We all have resilience and the ability to heal; sometimes we just need a little help finding it, and we all need someone with whom we can express ourselves fully. By discussing our challenges, we can transform our lives. Have you had experiences that have been painful or hard to move on from? I have extensive experience in trauma, parenting, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, autism, OCD, mindfulness, relaxation training, gender, and orientation issues. I speak English, Spanish, and French fluently.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first meeting, I will learn about you, the traumas you have experienced, and symptoms you may be feeling. I will find out about your day to day life, and will ask you to incorporate mindfulness practices, if you do not already. Sometimes in a few weeks, sometimes longer, we will begin treating trauma memories using EMDR protocol, and bi-lateral stimulation through self tapping or eye movements.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
