Getting to know Mary Theresa Fitzgerald

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from La Salle University, my approach is genuine and sincere. My focus is to help clients recognize and manage emotions, encourage effective ways to express what they are feeling, and introduce fun and effective coping strategies. Throughout my work with adults, teens, and children, it has been essential to communicate empathy as I build trust and teach the cognitive and relaxation skills necessary to help manage depression, grief, episodes of abuse, adjustment, and anger issues. To support the whole family, I also work with parents through couples counseling and parenting skills to enhance and improve communication. My outpatient experience includes working with adults, children, and teens. I utilize a combination of CBT, Mindfulness Meditation, Sandtray/Play Therapy, and Creative Art Interventions to support clients experiencing mental health issues including, but not limited to, attachment and adjustment issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and substance use disorders. Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
