I became a therapist because I enjoy connecting with others, hearing their stories, and helping them identify their own resiliency. I believe everyone can benefit from the support of a safe space to truly express themselves, honor their feelings, and cultivate insight about their past. As a client-centered therapist, I know you are the expert on your experience, and I put each client in the driver’s seat, meeting you where you are to support the goals most important to you. I believe the most important aspect of therapy is not necessarily the experience of the therapist or client, but the therapeutic alliance. I use empathy, respect, and active listening to cultivate a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space. My upbeat personality allows me to empower clients to challenge their perspectives and find solutions to their presenting problems. I have experience working in individual, group, inpatient, and outpatient settings, providing therapy, case management, and crisis intervention. In addition to mood and anxiety disorders, I support individuals with co-morbid conditions, life transitions, grief and loss, executive functioning building, and self-esteem issues. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Indiana, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide compassionate, effective care tailored to each client’s unique needs.
