With over 20 years in mental and behavioral health, including 11 as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I've had the honor to assist people from all walks of life. Whether it's working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, or families, healing and growth are always within reach. I have broad experience with various issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, trauma, PTSD, self-harm, suicidal ideation, mood disorders, child abuse and more. I understand each person's story is unique, and my vision is to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. I specialize in guiding adolescents and adults to recognize their strengths and overcome obstacles. I also enjoy working with couples and families, fostering healthier communication, stronger relationships, and lasting change in a compassionate and nonjudgmental environment. My therapeutic approach is tailored to individual needs. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients break negative patterns, while employing a variety of other evidence-based approaches. For clients interested, I offer faith-based counseling that integrates spiritual beliefs sensitively into therapy. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University and my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. No matter where you are in your journey, whether it's coping with anxiety, relationship struggles, trauma, grief, or feeling stuck, my mission is to provide compassion, honesty, and practical guidance. Together, we can chart the path towards lasting healing and hope. Remember it's never too late to change direction. As C.S. Lewis wrote, "If you are on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road."
