What should a new client know about working with you?

Relational therapy is strongly focused on how you connect with people. Humans are social beings, often desiring the security and support of others. You'll find this in our sessions. Within a humanistic and relational lens, my style is to engage you as a trusted confidant who can give you treasured truths in a comfortable, judgement free environment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We get to know each other with a thorough assessment session, gathering background information about what has led you to therapy and how you have managed relationships currently and in the past. Over the next four sessions, we'll work to develop goals or what you would prefer our sessions focus on. Gradually we'll dig deep to identify problematic patterns or perceptions, strategically building skills to move in a healthier direction. Sessions start with reflection of the past week's events and how they may have impacted your established goals. Eventually you'll see improvement in how you interact with others and will feel more confident in creating, managing and reinforcing your personal relationships.
