Psychotherapist

Hi there, I'm Matthew! People can feel many ways about starting therapy. It can be empowering to address aspects of our lives that are emotional and personal to us and lesser known to others. It can also be quite scary. Therapy is a great place for change to begin. I will listen while you process, verbalize, and think aloud your half-formed thoughts, raw feelings, and personal experiences, and then work collaboratively with you to figure out what, if anything, you want to do with that information. My approach I work collaboratively with individuals and couples to name and understand the thoughts, beliefs, and approaches that keep them from living satisfying lives. I believe we are all actually doing our best with the tools we have, but sometimes the ingredients for change remain in our blind spots. I utilize multiple modalities to address each unique challenge. My focus Living is a constant process of adjusting expectations and gaining wisdom as we manage new and foreign situations. Whether you are struggling to be successful in your work, in your relationship with others, or in your relationship with yourself, I can assist you in navigating these challenges. I specialize in working with men adjusting to new relationships and parenthood. My communication style I do my best to prioritize two things in my sessions. First, your goals will direct our work, and I want my clients to follow their intuition and thoughts to their end. I believe I was given two ears and one mouth for a reason--and that is to listen more than I speak. Secondly, as a professional, I prioritize coming to sessions prepared with different ways to look at the situation, useful interventions, and possible ways forward.
