Hi, my name is Maureen, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida, where I have been practicing for over 20 years in both community mental health and private practice. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. My experience includes mobile crisis intervention, substance abuse treatment, and individual, couples, and family therapy. Additionally, I am a qualified supervisor for licensure in the state of Florida. I'd like to share a bit about who I am and how I approach therapy and life in general. My motto is to help my clients “make life simple again” by breaking down issues into manageable parts. Often, people become overwhelmed because emotions skew their perspective, creating anxiety and stress around a situation. I see my role as a guide to help you reevaluate concerns more objectively, breaking them into parts that feel manageable. When this happens, feelings of overwhelm lessen, and decision-making becomes easier. I view therapy as a learning experience that can sometimes feel uncomfortable but often empowering. I use humor frequently in sessions because it's not only enjoyable but also brings levity to the process. Please know that you are the driver of this bus, and I am simply your co-pilot. What we discuss-or don't-is entirely up to you. My goal is to create an atmosphere of respect and safety so you feel comfortable sharing what's going on for you. I look forward to working with you and seeing where the bus takes us.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
