My name is Mauro Garcia. I am a bilingual therapist as I speak both English & Spanish and am a Licensed Social Worker. I had spent close to 8 years working in schools where I realized I found a passion in making a difference in the lives of children and adolescents. It was through building trust, rapport, and open communication where I knew that I wanted to help serve my community where it was needed the most. I have since served in various community mental health agencies, working closing with children, adolescents, and young adults. I have always taken pride in the fact that I can relate to my clients, meeting them where they are in life, creating the safe space where they feel comfortable sharing, and collaborating as we venture on their mental health journey together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have used the hardships of my life and turned them into something positive. I am proud of the adversity that I faced in my childhood and my early adult years, because now I can use that as a beacon of hope for every client that comes my way. I have worked with clients facing depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and adjustment disorders. My approaches include:Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Trauma-Focused, Strengths Based, Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.
