I am a psychologist with a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas and a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Missouri. I have several years of experience providing psychotherapy to adult and adolescent clients. I specialize in LGBTQIA+-affirming care and have extensive experience working with clients engaged in creative endeavors. Clients seek therapy with me to alleviate distress related to depression, anxiety, adjustment and life transitions, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, mood disorders, trauma, perfectionism, career exploration and job distress, family dynamics, and identity exploration. I also have experience working with clients who are on the autism spectrum.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to individual psychotherapy integrates acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), DBT skills training, positive psychology, self-compassion training, feminist therapy, and CBT for ADHD. My work with couples takes place from a Gottman Method Couples Therapy framework.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I understand that reaching out for help can be very difficult, and at the same time it is often the first step to healing. Through therapy, we can build self-awareness and resilience, minimize distress, strengthen relationships, and help you live by your values.
