Getting to know Mayra Ramos

Welcome! I am Mayra Ramos, LCSW, and I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley. Seeking counseling can be quite nerve-wracking, not knowing what to expect and often doubting that it will actually help. But counseling doesn't have to be so complicated. Counseling is about building a trusting relationship with your therapist, knowing that you can talk about anything that comes to mind. You don't have to second-guess yourself, as counseling is all about you. It's a place where you will be understood, listened to, supported, and where the ultimate goal is to increase your overall well-being. I strive to provide clients with a safe and comforting environment where they are free to express themselves. Clients will be able to explore their thoughts, current situations, address stressors, life changes, relationship conflicts, grief, and a multitude of issues. Together, we will work to set boundaries, improve relationships, increase healthy coping skills, and live a more joyful life. I am experienced with adults and children over 12 years old.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
