Psychotherapist
CA
Greetings, welcome to my profile! I hold a Doctorate of Psychology (PsyD) from Antioch University and have been seeing clients for nearly 10 years. My approach is flexible, client-centered, and utilizes mindfulness-based interventions at every point of the journey toward healing. Together, we can embark on a journey of self-discovery and build a solid skill set that helps you navigate the challenges that come your way. My approach My therapeutic approach is tailored to each specific client. Tenets of CBT, DBT, and solution-focused approaches are incorporated throughout treatment. Depth-oriented approaches, such as psychoanalysis, are also integrated to facilitate transformative therapeutic engagements that explore the root causes of symptoms and behavior. My focus I've worked in various community clinic settings over the past decade. This experience has given me the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals presenting a variety of challenges. As a result, I am well equipped to work with many different types of clients and presenting conditions. My communication style I utilize a supportive and validating communication style to foster a deeply trusting and safe environment. Sessions are marked by deep active listening, interspersed with timely feedback that fosters meaningful insight. Safety and trust are our foundation. My journey to mental healthcare I was initially drawn to therapy after engaging with mindfulness-based practices in my late teens. Beginning my journey as a therapist revealed how deeply profound it is to sit with others and process their experiences. I am driven to help people and be a source of support for those navigating challenging times in their lives. My goals for you This is flexible depending on the client. Generally, we set both short-term and long-term goals.
