Getting to know Meagan Baxter

Hello, I'm Meagan. I received my MSW from the University of Southern California and my BS in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix. With certifications as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am also certified in trauma therapy. My extensive background includes roles as a medical social worker, psychiatric social worker, and case manager for local social service agencies, where I honed my skills as a strong advocate for my clients. I've worked in various settings, including inpatient psychiatric facilities, inpatient substance abuse facilities, school districts, and home health, gaining a wealth of experience along the way. I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My specialties include anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, trauma and abuse, and grief and loss. I utilize a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Approach, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. My niche lies in addressing trauma and substance abuse issues. As a therapist, I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and interactive environment where individuals can tackle difficult subjects, deep-seated trauma, or simply have a listening ear when they need to express their thoughts and feelings. I believe that healing is a collaborative effort that requires honest caring without judgment. If you're looking for support in navigating life's challenges, I am here to help. Let's work together to find the path to healing and growth. I look forward to connecting with you.
