Meagan Montgomery, LPC

Psychotherapist
CT
Hi there, I'm Meagan! I am a neurodivergent counselor, and I believe that understanding my own ADHD and anxiety helps me build a strong therapeutic relationship and better understand your struggles. I hold a Master's in Counseling from Adams State University, which has equipped me with the skills to support you effectively. My approach I use a multi-modal therapeutic approach to tailor treatment to meet your specific needs and goals. My focus I work with adolescents and adults, specializing in individuals with ADD/ADHD, anxiety and panic disorders, general mental health, personal growth, and self-esteem. My communication style I create a supportive and relaxed environment. I prefer to walk with you on your journey, offering a space to explore, problem-solve, and address issues. My journey to mental healthcare I always knew I wanted to help people. Through therapy, I support individuals on their personal journeys. I was drawn to therapy through learning about neurodivergence and have a passion for helping people understand their behavior and how the mind works. I have worked in various settings, including substance abuse counseling, school-based therapy, crisis therapy in the ER, and private practice. These experiences with diverse populations have shaped my practice into what it is today. My first session with you To start services with me, you can schedule a 15-minute phone consultation or book directly. I believe the intake session can be the hardest-it's often overwhelming to answer many personal questions when you don't know me yet. I strive to provide a safe and supportive environment during this hour-long session. I can assign homework if you want to work outside of sessions, but I never force it. I meet you where you are and tailor the experience to your preferences.
