Psychotherapist
1661 N Water St, Ste 509, Milwaukee, WI
Hi there! Therapist & A Couch is dedicated to creating space for healing. As an existential-humanistic therapist, I believe that the search for meaning and purpose is central to our human experience. I approach therapy with a deep respect for each individual's unique journey and the complexity of their inner world. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree, both from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. My practice is grounded in the belief that we all have the capacity for self-awareness, growth, and transformation, and that therapy can help us tap into that potential. I work collaboratively with my clients to create a safe and supportive space where they can explore their thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. As an existential-humanistic therapist, I prioritize the exploration of the big questions in life: Who am I? What is my purpose? What gives my life meaning? Through this exploration, we can begin to gain insight into our deepest desires and fears, and develop a greater sense of authenticity and connection. I draw upon a range of therapeutic techniques, including mindfulness, experiential therapy, and the interpersonal process, to help clients deepen their self-awareness and increase their capacity for emotional expression. I also emphasize the importance of the therapeutic relationship, recognizing that the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is a key factor in successful therapy outcomes. If you're looking for a therapist who will meet you with empathy, curiosity, and an open heart, I invite you to reach out and start your journey towards greater self-understanding and fulfillment.

A 50-minute session is $160. This rate aligns with the current market for my years in practice, education, and qualifications. Please know that this fee is subject to change each year with inflation and additional trainings. I do not accept insurance, and I do this with intention. Insurance companies require a formal diagnosis and can dictate the number of sessions a client can meet with a therapist. They will also have permanent access to your mental health information. When we choose to opt out of insurance networks, we have greater flexibility in determining a course of treatment that works for you. If you are concerned about affording therapy, please reach out! As an insurance “workaround,” for clients with Out of Network benefits, I am happy to provide a Superbill. Additionally, I do offer a sliding scale and am happy to discuss this in greater detail with prospective clients.
