Congratulations on starting your journey! It can be intimidating to start therapy, but I am here to make this process as painless as possible. I use a client-centered, collaborative approach. I work with my clients to develop an individualized plan so they can reach their unique goals. I put my clients first and make it a priority to provide a safe and supportive environment where my clients can feel comfortable being themselves. My approach I use a few different therapeutic approaches with my clients. I rely mostly on client-centered techniques because I think it's imperative that the client feels in control of their therapeutic process. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to help my clients focus on changing their irrational thought patterns that lead to unhealthy behaviors. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-FCBT) and have experience using this approach with children and families who have experienced traumatic events such as physical, sexual, or psychological abuse. I often use play and art interventions with my children and adolescent populations. I am experienced using a variety of different therapeutic games and activities to help clients work on specific goals. I first get to know my clients before choosing which approach will work best for them. I usually involve the client in this process and explain the approaches we will be using to ensure they feel comfortable going forward. My focus Is your child struggling with anxiety, depression, behavior problems, or attention problems? Are they going through a difficult transition, such as divorce or loss of a loved one? Kids today face many challenges, and it can be difficult as parents to know how to best support them and get the help they need. I can be your guide in helping your child while also teaching you how to best support them. I enjoy working with families so that they can reach their goals while building stronger connections between each other.
