We all have a unique, beautiful self that can feel lost due to trauma, chronic stress, and systemic or societal pressures. In the process of surviving, we often learn to move away from parts of who we truly are in order to stay safe. Therapy with me is a space to gently reconnect with that self, and explore who you are beneath expectations, pain, and adaptation.

Getting to know Megan Brace

We all have a unique, beautiful self that can feel lost due to trauma, chronic stress, and systemic or societal pressures. In the process of surviving, we often learn to move away from parts of who we truly are in order to stay safe. Therapy with me is a space to gently reconnect with that self, and explore who you are beneath expectations, pain, and adaptation.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and a queer, intersectional, trauma-informed therapist. I specialize in working with generational and complex trauma, interpersonal relationship difficulties, family conflict, domestic violence and abuse, chronic illness, grief, neurodivergence, and the LGBTQIA+ community. Starting the therapeutic process together will look like establishing safety, learning to understand your needs, and creating a space that allows you to show up just as you are. Everything is welcome and we will learn how to care for it together. I deeply value the therapeutic relationship and draw from a range of modalities tailored to your unique needs, including DBT, relational and trauma-focused approaches, emotionally focused therapy, neuroscience-informed care, parts work, and somatic experiencing.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As a trauma-informed, relational therapist, I feel honored to create a safe space where you can finally be yourself and feel heard. I love empowering clients to explore their needs, feel their feelings, and truly find themselves. If this sounds like a space that you are needing, feel free to reach out and we can build it together.
