What should a new client know about working with you?

Are you feeling overwhelmed by persistent symptoms or challenges that seem impossible to overcome? You might be struggling with the weight of chronic mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, or ADD/ADHD. Perhaps you're caught in the cycle of unhealthy relationship patterns, or you're carrying the burden of intergenerational trauma that impacts your ability to fully thrive. You may also be facing difficulties with substance use or abuse, and you're feeling stuck, unsure of how to break free. In these moments, it can feel isolating, like you’re carrying these burdens alone. You may experience feelings of hopelessness, frustration, and confusion, unsure of where to turn for support. Your mental and emotional well-being may feel like a constant battle, and despite your best efforts, the change you long for feels out of reach. If you're part of the LGBTQIA+ community, you may also be grappling with unique challenges related to identity, acceptance, and navigating societal pressures. These struggles can further complicate your healing journey, leaving you feeling misunderstood or unsupported. In these moments, it’s important to know you don’t have to navigate this path alone. As a counselor, I specialize in helping individuals like you work through these complex struggles. Together, we will explore the root causes of your challenges, providing a safe space where you can heal, gain clarity, and develop the strategies you need to move forward with renewed strength and confidence. You deserve the care, support, and understanding to heal and thrive—and I’m here to walk alongside you in that journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In your first counseling session, we’ll start by building a safe and trusting environment. I’ll ask about your current concerns, goals, and any relevant history to better understand your unique experience. This session is an opportunity for you to share your story, and for us to explore the challenges you're facing. Together, we’ll discuss your goals for therapy and begin to establish a plan for healing and growth. You’ll leave feeling heard, understood, and with a sense of direction for the journey ahead, knowing you have support every step of the way.
