Megan DuBose is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Barbara Armitage. She holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Southern Methodist University. I am a dedicated therapist with a profound commitment to empowering neurodivergent women, helping them explore their unique strengths, overcome challenges, and achieve personal and professional growth. My specialization lies at the intersection of neurodiversity, trauma, and career development. I use talk therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients heal from past trauma and build resilience. My practice is deeply empathetic and tailored to the individual needs of ADHD, autistic, and dyslexic women. Integrating EMDR allows me to address complex trauma while honoring the unique experiences of each client. In addition to trauma work, I am passionate about helping neurodivergent women find greater fulfillment in their careers. I offer assessment, guidance, and support to help clients navigate their professional lives, align their careers with their values and strengths, and overcome barriers to achieving their career goals. My goal is to help neurodivergent women thrive both personally and professionally.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My top priority is your sense of emotional safety as we process trauma, life's challenges, and complex family dynamics. Through talk therapy and EMDR, we will expand self-awareness; decrease trauma responses; and embrace ways of expressing your authentic self. I encourage stimming in session, and don't require eye contact to do my job well. Additionally, please note that you do NOT need a formal diagnosis to seek therapy. I work with many women who suspect or identify with autism, ADHD, or dyslexia.
