I provide therapy services to clients as they choose to become healthier versions of themselves. I specialize in working with young adults and teenagers who struggle with emotional regulation and life transitions. I cultivate a warm, laid-back, and direct client relationship while using an eclectic mix of skills unique to each person. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Marian University, which equipped me with a strong foundation to support clients effectively. My approach I prioritize inclusion and safety, recognizing that each client learns differently. I am person-centered and adapt my therapeutic approaches to each individual—no single approach boxes a client in. I draw from DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, and parts-work. My focus I work with neurodivergent and neurotypical young adults and teens to help them understand and cope with unregulated emotions. I have extensive experience with the LGBTQ+ population and am comfortable addressing sexuality, gender identity, and self-esteem. I am skilled in parts-work for clients struggling with anxiety, self-image, and relational difficulties. My communication style You can expect laid-back, non-judgmental, direct, and open communication. I create space for uncomfortable feelings so you can build trust in allowing those hard emotions to be felt. I enjoy building the therapeutic relationship to a place where I can directly challenge you when needed and have received positive feedback from clients who appreciate that push. My journey to mental healthcare It’s sometimes joked that I’ve lived several different lives because of how varied my life endeavors have been so far.
