“Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.” ? Søren Kierkegaard With all of the competing responsibilities and expectations we face in our personal and professional lives, we may find ourselves feeling overwhelmed and exhausted by the end of each day, leaving us feeling disconnected from what really matters to us. In our work together, we can collaborate to address these challenges so you can reconnect with your authentic self. As a counselor, my job is to provide a judgment free space where you can share your triumphs, challenges, uncertainties, joys, and everything in between. During our sessions, I will work within the framework of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which emphasizes accepting thoughts and feelings without judgment and committing to actions driven by your values. I work with adults on relationship issues, life transitions, anxiety, stress, healing from generational trauma, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD). I am passionate about understanding attachment styles and providing insights from attachment theory so you can develop more secure connections with yourself and others. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Roosevelt University. When I am not counseling, I enjoy going to the beach, spending time with loved ones, playing old school Nintendo games, and rewatching Avatar: The Last Airbender (the original animated series).
