Life can feel overwhelming, uncertain, or heavy at times, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. I specialize in working with individuals who are ready to better understand their emotions, heal from past wounds, and build more grounded, fulfilling lives. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing happens when you feel truly seen, safe, and supported. I take a person-centered stance, which means I view you as the expert of your own story and work to create a nonjudgmental, empathetic space where you can explore, grow, and heal at your own pace. I integrate evidence-based practices like CBT to help you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, build coping skills, and navigate day-to-day challenges more effectively. When appropriate, I also incorporate EMDR to support the healing of trauma and unresolved emotional wounds. This method helps the brain process painful memories so you can move forward with more freedom and clarity. Together, we will focus on what matters most to you. I am here to walk with you through the process, offering compassion, insight, and practical tools to help you move toward lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with individuals across all ages and life stages, from children and teens to adults and older adults who are navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions. Whether you're a young person figuring out who you are, a parent feeling overwhelmed, or someone later in life processing past experiences, I meet you where you are with compassion and respect. My role is to help you feel heard, supported, and equipped to move forward. Together, we’ll work toward greater emotional clarity, healing, and a deeper sense of confidence and connection in your daily life. In our work together, you can expect a calm, supportive, and grounded environment where your voice is valued and your experiences are honored. My communication style is warm, attentive, and direct when needed. I listen with care and curiosity, holding space for your emotions while helping you feel safe enough to explore deeper layers of your story. I aim to strike a balance between compassion and clarity. I won’t rush you, but I also won’t let you stay stuck. If you're feeling overwhelmed, I may slow things down and guide you back to your breath. If you're stuck in a negative pattern, I’ll gently offer perspective and help you explore new ways of thinking or responding. Whether we’re processing trauma, untangling anxious thoughts, or simply checking in about your week, I’ll meet you with empathy, patience, and respect. My hope is that you leave each session feeling seen, supported, and just a little more in tune with your own strength.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My journey into the mental health field was born from a deep desire to understand people’s inner worlds and to be a safe, steady presence for those navigating life’s hardest moments. Early on, I found myself drawn to the power of listening—really listening—and how transformative it can be when someone feels seen and supported. Along the way, I encountered stories of resilience that shaped my perspective and strengthened my commitment to this work. I’ve come to believe deeply in people’s capacity to change, heal, and thrive. What keeps me grounded in this work is the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they reclaim their voice, challenge limiting beliefs, and create space for peace and possibility. It’s not always easy, but it’s always meaningful. We’ll work together to identify goals that are personal, realistic, and aligned with what you truly value. These goals might be emotional, like managing anxiety or processing grief, or more practical, like improving relationships or building self-confidence. As therapy unfolds, your goals may shift and grow, and I’ll check in regularly to make sure we’re moving in a direction that still feels right for you. Progress might be subtle at first, but over time, you’ll start to notice a change in how you respond, how you think, and how you feel. Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and create a foundation of trust and safety. We’ll spend time talking about what brought you to therapy, your current challenges, and what you hope to achieve. This is also a chance for you to ask any questions you have about the process, so you can feel comfortable and informed. There is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. It’s normal to feel nervous or uncertain, and I will do my best to make the space warm, welcoming, and supportive. Together, we’ll begin to explore your goals and decide how best to move forward, setting the tone for a collaborative and respectful partnership.
