Megan Panici, LCSW

Psychotherapist
IL
Megan helps individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and relationship difficulties. She works with clients to address these challenges while simultaneously working through the impacts these struggles have on clients’ lives. In addition to Megan’s experience in community mental health and with runaway adolescents, she has worked with adults who suffered one or multiple traumas during the course of their lives. Megan works with clients to help them participate more in the present day while developing an ability to respond better to the challenges of the past and present as well as anxiety about the future. Megan is a licensed social worker and member of the National Association of Social Workers who received her degree at Loyola University Chicago. “I believe each person, regardless of age, is in a perpetual state of becoming. Life is an ongoing process filled with unexpected detours and curveballs. I work with each client to explore his or her own process of becoming and the deeper explorations of how one lives his or her life. I encourage non-judgmental curiosity and openness to questioning as we reflect on one’s life path and define what it means to live a meaningful life. I support clients as they develop the courage to ask difficult questions and find the answers to these questions and other questions that they find life poses to them. Through the process, I reinforce the importance of patience and compassion for oneself as well as for others. I also encourage reflection on the effects patience and compassion have on your experience to allow you to live fully in the present moment.”
