Psychotherapist

As a neurodivergent individual myself, I understand the unique challenges and strengths that come with living in a world that isn't always built with our needs in mind. Whether you are beginning to explore neurodivergence or have already been diagnosed, together we will work to reduce feelings of shame around characteristics and behaviors, and collaboratively build tools for navigating daily life with more confidence and self-compassion. In addition to my neurodiversity-affirming work, I also support individuals who are navigating stress, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Whether we are exploring identity, improving coping skills, or working to break free from unhelpful cycles, my goal is to walk alongside you as you uncover and embrace your strengths, honor your needs, and build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, affirming and deeply person-centered. I believe that there is no 'one size fits all' approach to therapy and enjoy weaving together a variety of evidence-based strategies to tailor treatment to the unique needs, strengths and communication style of each of my clients. I believe that therapy should be a safe and judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are - stimming, fidgeting, going off-topic, or processing at your own pace is always welcome. When working with my neurodivergent clients I often focus on building executive functioning skills, emotional regulation tools, and self-advocacy strategies while also addressing the impacts of masking, burnout and societal expectations. I approach therapy through a lens of equality, inclusion and respect for all identities and am deeply committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can feel truly seen and valued.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our initial session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another better, where I will complete an assessment called a psychosocial assessment that details your background, current functioning and symptoms, and your desired goals for therapy. I strive to always make sessions a safe and judgment-free space where you can be vulnerable and explore difficult emotions and experiences. I encourage you to show up in a way that allows you to feel most comfortable and yourself - so feel free to come to session in your favorite cozy PJs, enjoy a snack, and bring your favorite fidgets with you.

More information on payments and coverage

Prior to your first scheduled session, I will verify your insurance coverage as a courtesy; however, please note that clients utilizing insurance benefits are ultimately responsible for understanding their own plan, including any applicable deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, or coverage limitations. Insurance plans vary significantly, and it is strongly encouraged that you contact your insurance provider directly to familiarize yourself with your mental health benefits prior to your first appointment. Any balance not reimbursed by your insurance carrier will be your responsibility, and payment will be expected at the time of service. Most clients with insurance coverage will be responsible for a copayment at each session, the amount is determined by your individual insurance plan. If I am OON (out of network) with your insurance plan, a superbill can be provided upon request for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement; however, please be aware that reimbursement is not guaranteed and is determined solely at the discretion of your insurance carrier. For clients who are private pay ("self-pay"), fees will be discussed and agreed upon prior to the start of services. All copayments and private pay fees are collected securely through Stripe. For clients who prefer an alternative payment method, ACH bank transfer is available as a payment option through Headway only.
