Getting to know Megan Trible

Are you a young adult who wants freedom and independence but is unsure how to handle all the responsibilities that come with being an “adult”? Do you feel like you should have it all figured out by now, but in reality, you have no idea what direction your life should go? Have you experienced childhood trauma that is impeding your growth and ability to make decisions? Welcome! I’m Megan, and I am excited to help you on this journey to adulthood and self-discovery! Research tells us that the brain is not fully developed until age 26, yet we are expected to make life-altering decisions at age 18. I’m here to help you manage the pressures from others and yourself, explore the opportunities all around you, and imagine a future designed by you! Together, we can work through past trauma and heal the wounds holding you back. For the past 20 years, I have worked with children and families involved in the child welfare and juvenile probation systems. For the past 10 years, I have worked exclusively with young adults aging out of foster care to process and heal from childhood traumas and successfully transition into adulthood. I practice authentic youth engagement and believe young people should have a voice in their futures. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University and am trained in Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Level II Applications of the Fostering Success Coaching Model. I have presented nationally and locally to youth-serving agency leaders on authentic youth engagement and how to implement this practice in their programs. I have also been featured in articles on authentic youth engagement by Casey Family Programs and Youth Law Center. I am excited to walk alongside you as you take the next steps toward your future!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Educate, Empower, and Equip. That is what I aim to achieve during our time together. I want to provide you with education on the challenges and opportunities that may be in your life. I will also provide you with psychoeducation on the impact of trauma, moving forward, and how to challenge negative thinking styles that may be holding you back. I believe in empowering you to live the life you want to live! That is my goal. Not for you to live a life I think you should live, or someone else in your life wants you to live, but what YOU want! I will empower you to be in the drivers seat of your treatment. I will strive to equip you with the tools you need to move forward and create a life of your own design!

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
