Hi there, I'm Megan! Do you often feel overwhelmed with life? Or feel that something from your past is keeping you stuck? I can help with anxiety, depression, past trauma, negative self-talk, relationship issues, and more. I have found success walking alongside people to help them move from where they are to where they want to be-wherever that might be! I'm nonjudgmental and accepting of all walks of life-LGBTQIA+ individuals are welcome. My approach I use a mix of Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for most cases. For those with PTSD, I use my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional training, including somatic (body) work and narrative therapy, grounded in trauma neuroscience. I'm not focused on labels; I'm here to help you make changes to function and feel better day to day. My focus I have extensive training in trauma, anxiety, and depression treatment, including specialty training in postpartum mental health. I also enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ population-everyone is welcome. My communication style In sessions, I aim to make sure you are heard. I reflect emotions, prompt with open-ended questions, and sometimes use silence intentionally. Even a good laugh can be needed during a session, and I'm here for it! Honesty is my biggest value, so if you have questions, please ask-I will always be honest and hope you can be too. I want therapy to feel open, warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental. My journey to mental healthcare I always wanted to help people, so after high school, I thought nursing was the path. The joke was on me-I failed out of two nursing schools before finding my true passion in mental health. I earned my Master's in Social Work from IU Indianapolis, which shaped my approach and deepened my commitment to supporting others on their healing journeys.
