Meghan Fanning, LMHC, LCMHC

Psychotherapist
MA
I’m a licensed mental health counselor and paramedic with more than 20 years of experience supporting people through trauma, grief, loss, and life’s most challenging transitions. My work with individuals and couples recognizes the connection between mind and body and the ways our experiences shape how we live, relate, and navigate the world. I specialize in trauma and the complex experiences surrounding death, dying, and grief, including anticipatory grief and end-of-life transitions. I also work with high achievers, leaders, first responders, and healthcare professionals who are accustomed to holding it all together but may be experiencing burnout, chronic stress, or overwhelm. My approach is practical, collaborative, and personalized. I believe therapy should fit the person, not the other way around. If traditional approaches haven’t worked for you, or you’re looking for fresh perspectives and creative ways to move forward, we can explore what works best for you. I also offer ketamine-assisted therapy as an additional option for appropriate clients, integrating therapeutic support with a personalized approach to healing and growth. My goal is to help you deepen self-understanding, reconnect with your strengths, and create meaningful, sustainable change. Performance coaching is also available for those seeking greater resilience, balance, and sustainable growth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore what you hope to gain from our work together. I welcome your questions and believe therapy should be a collaborative process. Together, we’ll develop an approach tailored to your needs, goals, and preferences, with room to adjust as we go.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and personalized. Sessions provide space to explore your experiences, identify patterns, and develop practical tools for meaningful change. I combine conversation, reflection, and evidence-informed approaches, thinking creatively when traditional methods aren't the right fit. Together, we’ll work at your pace, building on your strengths and adjusting our approach as your needs evolve.
