My name is Meghan Gilbert, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania. I graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Social Work. I earned my master's degree in Social Work from Widener University in 2017 through their Advanced Standing Clinical Social Work program. I have been working in the mental health field for the past eight years and have had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations. I have extensive experience working with youth and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, family challenges, trauma, and substance use. My work has taken place in diverse settings, including inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, community-based treatment, schools, non-profit agencies, and occupational social work. I have provided individual and group therapy, case management, consultations, and supervision to diverse populations. I generally practice from cognitive behavioral and humanistic perspectives to help people evaluate their feelings and circumstances in relation to the world around them and to reconstruct their thinking regarding challenges and past trauma. Through the humanistic approach, I view the whole person as an individual in relation to their problems, focusing on their strengths and positive traits to empower them to create change in their lives. I also provide solution-focused therapy to help people strategize how to reach their goals and manage life's challenges in a healthy manner. Additionally, I implement reality therapy, which focuses on actively listening to clients and providing helpful feedback to assist them in evaluating their emotions and working toward realistic goals and behavioral changes. At times, it takes a lot of courage to reach out and ask for help. I commend you for taking the first step to make a change. I look forward to working with you.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
