Meghan Gilbert, LCSW

Psychotherapist
PA
Hi there, I'm Meghan! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in PA, DE, and NJ, with a Master's in Social Work from Widener University. I have over a decade of experience working with individuals diagnosed with severe mental health and personality disorders. I also provide therapy for depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, interpersonal challenges, self-esteem, and grief/loss. My approach I offer cognitive behavioral therapy and take a holistic, trauma-informed approach. I also provide Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I am dedicated to meeting clients where they are and helping them make healthy, positive changes in their lives. My focus I provide individual therapy remotely and accept clients ages 14 and older. I am most comfortable treating depression, anxiety, stress, mood disorders, trauma, interpersonal challenges, and self-esteem issues. My communication style I strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I am compassionate, respectful, and honest in therapy, aiming to create a safe space where clients can express themselves freely without judgment. My journey to mental healthcare Before studying social work, I worked in early childhood education. This experience sparked my interest in mental health, especially through working with children with special needs, which led me to change my major. Gaining knowledge and experience in social work showed me how individual therapy can change lives. While I value my early work with children, my focus shifted to adolescents and adults as I recognized the growing needs of these populations and genuinely wanted to help create positive change.
