Getting to know Dr. Meghan Hansen

Are you feeling alone, overwhelmed, or stuck? Do you struggle with self-doubt, anxiety, depression, body image concerns, or disordered eating? It can be difficult to carry these challenges on your own, but you don’t have to. Therapy offers a supportive space where you can feel understood, gain insight into your experiences, and develop the tools needed to create meaningful change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a licensed psychologist, I specialize in helping individuals navigate disordered eating, body image concerns, anxiety, and depression. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. We will work to increase awareness of difficult emotions, build healthier coping strategies, and help you move toward a fulfilling life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Before we meet, I offer a complimentary 15–20 minute phone consultation so we can get to know each other, discuss your goals, and determine whether I am the right fit for your needs. If you decide to move forward with an initial session, our first session will be an intake session. During this 60 minute session, I will learn more about your goals for therapy and any background information that may be helpful in effectively working towards those goals. Generally, 50 minute, weekly or bi-weekly sessions follow where we work together to find the best skills for you to meet your goals.
