Getting to know Melanie Swencki

Hi, I'm Melanie! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 27 years of experience as a clinician in a variety of settings. Whether you need to work through some heavy stuff from the past that's been weighing you down or you just want to process some day-to-day work or relationship stress, therapy can be a major step in the right direction toward self-care! Prior to starting my private practice I was working for the Veterans Health Administration and I remain passionate about continuing to be an advocate for Veterans to educate them about and link them to resources and services that are available to them.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During our first session we will get to know each other and I will gather some necessary background information. You will be able to ask questions to get to know me too! Then we can make a plan together to determine what we want to work on together as well as a schedule for our sessions.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
