9800 4th St N, Ste 310, St. Petersburg, FL
I offer in-person therapy in St.Petersburg, FL. Healing isn't about becoming someone different—it's about helping your mind and body feel safe enough to move forward. My name is Melissa, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma recovery, EMDR, neurodivergent adults (ADHD and autism), couples therapy, and military and veteran mental health. As a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, I understand the unique experiences of veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and military families. Whether you're navigating PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, chronic stress, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to your unique needs. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and individualized. I integrate Trauma-Focused CBT, mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, psychoeducation, and EMDR to help clients process distressing experiences, reduce emotional overwhelm, and build lasting resilience. For neurodivergent adults, I provide affirming therapy that recognizes ADHD and autism as differences—not deficits. Together, we'll develop strategies that support executive functioning, sensory needs, emotional regulation, relationships, self-esteem, and reducing the impact of masking and burnout. In couples therapy, I help partners strengthen communication, rebuild trust, navigate conflict, and better understand how trauma, attachment, and neurodivergence influence their relationship. My goal is to help both partners feel heard, understood, and more deeply connected. Clients describe me as warm, genuine, and easy to talk to. Therapy is a collaborative space where you can heal, build practical skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
