Hi everyone, I’m Claire Finley. My goal at Hope and Healing Counseling is to provide a safe space to openly explore barriers that can prevent clients from maintaining joy in their lives. Inner beliefs, past experiences, and unhealthy relationships are often a central issue we face in learning to live as our whole selves, fully accepted and fully loved. My mission is to help clients find wholeness and know their inherent worth. I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work, followed by a Master’s of Science in Clinical Social Work. During my time at university, I completed a variety of service and clinical hours working with children, families, gerontology, hospital social work, substance abuse recovery, and hospice. After completing my education, I began working at a wilderness therapy program as a direct care worker and later as a supervisor, working with teenage girls navigating a variety of mental health concerns in a primitive/outdoor setting. From there, I continued my professional career in residential care with adult women facing similar challenges, using holistic healing methods alongside a dynamic team of professionals to address issues in clients’ lives as they moved toward healing and wholeness. Working with individuals, couples, and orchestrating group therapy to aid relationships with the self and others is something I am passionate about.
