Hello, I'm Melissa. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges. I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and earned my Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin. Since obtaining my license for private practice in 1994, I have had the privilege of working with people facing a wide range of issues, including mental health concerns and substance abuse. My experience also includes a decade of working in hospice care, where I supported individuals and families through some of their most difficult times. In my practice, I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques to tailor my approach to each person's unique needs. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I work closely with each individual to find the best possible solutions for the challenges they are facing. Whether you are dealing with addiction, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, family relationship issues, or grief and bereavement, I am here to support you. Working with me means engaging in a therapeutic journey where your voice is heard, and your experiences are validated. Together, we will explore your thoughts and feelings, identify patterns, and develop strategies to help you achieve your goals. My approach is compassionate and non-judgmental, creating a safe space for you to express yourself and work towards healing and growth. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and support you on your path to well-being. If you feel that we might be a good fit, please don't hesitate to reach out. Let's take the first step together.
