Getting to know Melissa Marks

I have an array of hands-on experience, initially beginning in healthcare and later transitioning into mental health. I received a master’s degree in Marriage and Family in 2013 and a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. I believe that we all experience moments when we need additional support and someone to walk alongside us in our journey. I am open to working with all clients in their journey to self-discovery, recovery, goal achievement, and management of stressors and traumas. I often centralize on solution-focused treatment with cognitive-behavioral techniques. It is important to note that each client and situation is unique, and strategies and interventions will be incorporated from a person-centered approach to best suit the needs of each individual.
