Melissa Strickland, LPC

Melissa Strickland, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
I support adolescents/adults navigating mood disorders, C/PTSD, life transitions, neurodivergence, and existential concerns. Many of my clients come in carrying the weight of relationships that shaped them before they had words for what was happening: attachment trauma, parentification, enmeshment, conditional love, chronic invalidation. They're often called too sensitive, too dramatic, or too much. My clients want a therapist that sees the whole person, not just a diagnostic label. They know what it’s like to feel unseen, talked over, or handed a worksheet when they needed something deeper. A skilled clinician and diagnostician with 19+ years of experience, I integrate trauma-informed, evidence-based therapies within a relational/psychodynamic framework — building treatment around the individual, not a protocol. I offer a reprieve from the particular exhaustion of living authentically in places and systems that are not always affirming

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider's self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan's benefits.
