Hi there, I'm Memoree! My name is Memoree Burge and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Meridian, Mississippi but work with clients statewide via telehealth. I serve a diverse population with experience in working with youth, adults, and families. I specialize in ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, and PTSD. My approach My approach to providing therapy is tailored to the individual. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify and change negative thoughts and feelings as well as build healthy copings skills. I facilitate therapy from a strength-based perspective as it is important for clients to recognize and understand their strengths to aid them in building confidence and self-esteem to move forward in being the best versions of themselves. My focus I specialize in working with families, adolescents and adults facing challenges of family issues, life transitions, mood disturbances, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I work with my clients in recognizing and addressing negative thinking and behavioral patterns which sometimes results in anger, depression, anxiety, and poor interpersonal skills. My communication style My goal as a therapist is to create a safe and supportive environment, allowing my clients to be open and honest without feeling judged. I want my clients to feel valued, knowing that someone is here to listen and that they are cared about. My journey to mental healthcare I decided to become a therapist because I have always had the desire to help others. Growing up and even now, I am always that individual that people come to when they are having life challenges or just want to talk. I felt that being a therapist would give me the opportunity to help those struggling with past trauma and current issues hindering them from experience a quality of life. When it comes to providing therapy to clients, I believe in fostering hope.
