Hi there, I'm Mendy! Hi, I'm Mendy Mullins, Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Missouri and a Bachelor’s degree from William Woods University. Do you need someone to hold space for you during a difficult period of your life? Feeling stuck, angry, anxious, or depressed? Going through challenging transitions or juggling what feels like an overwhelming amount all at once? I am here to help you do the work to start feeling better! There is hope and healing, and it looks different for everyone. Let's get started! My approach I use approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing, all from a trauma-informed lens. My work with you will be client-centered and strengths-based. We will collaborate to establish a plan to achieve your goals and maintain lasting change. I always start with your strengths and build upon those using a person-centered approach. Together, we will find modalities that work best for you as we build a therapeutic relationship. I have worked with many populations, including teens, adults, and older adults. With a background in medical social work, I often support clients coping with grief and loss, medical diagnoses, and related family dynamic issues. My focus I typically work with individuals—adults or adolescents—experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief, difficulty with change and life transitions, trauma, and stressor-related disorders. My goals for you Goal-setting is a collaborative process. In the first few sessions, we will develop a plan and select manageable, meaningful goals for you to focus on. As we achieve those, we will create new ones when appropriate. Goals are flexible and can change as needed. If you’re unsure what your goal is or should be, that’s okay too—we’ll work together to figure it out.
