Getting to know Menzo Faassen

I have been a licensed counselor since 2015. I have extensive experience work with people with addiction, trauma, anxiety, and depression.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I start with the presumption that you are the expert about yourself and not me. I see therapy as a partnership and I am walking with you on the healing journey. Our first sessions will focus on rapport building and getting to know each other. We will set preliminary goals that are totally set by you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Once we build rapport, I pull a lot of techniques from a modality called Psychodrama (created by J. L. Moreno). The goal is to help you develop the creativity and spontaneity to find new, healthy and adequate solutions to current and future problems.
