Getting to know Mercy Ezeh

Hello, I'm glad you decided to connect with me today. Do you feel overwhelmed and unable to perform at your optimal level? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work, school, and health? Is it hard to function daily without support? I help clients manage anxiety and depression to maintain great relationships. Together, we can collaborate to identify what's not working and get you back to your optimal level. I use a whole-self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body, and spirit. I also integrate mindfulness, meditation, and exercise to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself and others. Whether you're dealing with school, relationship issues, or a cascade of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy can feel scary but very rewarding, and you're making the right choice. You deserve a therapist who brings compassion, empathy, trust, and a non-judgmental attitude. In our sessions together, I will utilize evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the thoughts and emotions holding you back. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Texas Southern University, which has equipped me with the skills to support you effectively. Let's work together!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Although I use diverse therapeutic techniques to empower and enhance their confidence, I focus on their strengths and obstacles. My experience includes providing services to adolescents, young adults and adults who come from diverse backgrounds. Each session will be client-centered. We will collaboratively work on their goals. There may be times in therapy when it will be scary/uncomfortable, but it will be fulfilling and rewarding. They will learn techniques to challenge unhealthy automatic thoughts and core belief that results in unpleasant behavior.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

All the questions were overwhelming. It made me feel like I was a bad person or not being capable of being good due to all the things I went through. For a first appointment I dont think anyone should be asked repeatedly about whether they do/did hard drugs or diagnosis. Allow a person to speak on their own people who have been through trauma just want to feel safe.

Mrs. Mercy is by far the best therapist I've had! She has helped me by teaching me different methods of challenging my own thoughts before they reach my emotions. She has explained and given material that has help me understand myself much better. Her therapy method works! And I am very grateful for her and will recommend her to anyone that is serious about their mental health journey:)
