Getting to know Meredith Mahaney

Hi! I'm Meredith! As your therapist, it is my goal to see you find solutions to your current challenges and find the authentic you that makes you special and unique. You're seeking therapy for a reason, or many reasons, and I'd like to walk the path with you that gets you to a place in life that brings you peace. While I take my job seriously, I also believe humor and laughter is medicine. When appropriate, let's laugh. When it's time to cry, let's cry. Tears are also therapeutic. I've worked in this field for 10 years and am a licensed professional counselor and mental health services provider LPC/MHSP. I've worked with adolescents and adults, and I love working with both. From relationship and change of circumstances challenge to substance abuse and trauma, I've worked with many different people and many different issues. Outside of counseling, I'm a wife and mother. I love to take my son on adventures and see his expression when he's experiencing new and exciting things. Since I was a little girl, I've performed in theatrical productions. I also love to spend time with people who bring out the best in me, and I try to bring out the best in others simply by being truly present with them and recognizing their pain as well as celebrating the victories. I recognize that with therapists, there needs to be a rapport, a connection, that feels right for you. Building therapeutic alliances and relationships is my greatest strength. You must trust your therapist and feel that the therapeutic relationship is right for you. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on the circumstances and the person. I truly look forward to meeting you!!
