Getting to know Meri Levy

I specialize in working with adults who are hard on themselves. They are often people who give so much to others that they forget to care for themselves. This tendency can result in anxiety, depression, chronic pain or physical symptoms. These difficulties often show up during times of stress—during pregnancy or postpartum, or during other stressful life transitions. You can heal from these symptoms using your brain’s inherent neuroplasticity. Together, we can help you overcome chronic symptoms and find balance in your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is warm, nonjudgmental, and deeply supportive. I welcome people of all backgrounds and identities, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and people of all sizes and abilities. I am Certified in Pain Reprocessing Therapy as well as Perinatal Mental Health and I am trained in Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy for chronic pain and symptoms.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Psychotherapy sessions are 50 minutes long, and my approach is client-centered, meaning that we spend the time focusing on what you want to be different in your life. I have an interactive approach: I listen, validate, ask questions, and provide feedback and psychoeducation, and we work together to move through challenges to find solutions that work for your life.
