Getting to know Mersedeh Kaviany

It is my passion to help others live happier, calmer, and more fulfilling lives. Much of our inexplicable behavior and habits that hold us back are rooted in our genes, childhood, family dynamics, traumas, and circumstances. I help my clients understand what holds them back and move through it. I support them in overcoming difficult transitions and parenting challenges. Together, we work to improve relationships, change negative lifestyle habits, reduce stress, boost confidence and self-esteem, uncover passions, and ultimately become their true selves. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology Westwood Counseling Center, which informs my compassionate and effective approach to therapy.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I offer an integrated therapeutic approach to meet each client's unique needs. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma. I help my clients change positively, and pave the way toward taking action with the "I CAN" attitude. As the 13th-century Persian poet Rumi says, "Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within." I paired this quote with my practice. I'm here to listen, help you learn from your own experiences, hold a space of healing, and nurture growth. My liberation is wrapped up in yours.
