Psychotherapist
CT
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s from Connecticut College. I work with clients throughout Connecticut via telehealth. Life is full of turns and challenges, and our time together can unlock possibilities, potentials, and peace. I work with adolescents and adults, specializing in anxiety, stress, and sleep issues. I also have 33 years of experience helping children and adolescents manage emotions, enhance self-esteem, and tackle issues impacting school success. My approach My therapy approach is eclectic, using various methods to help you become your best self. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy combined with elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness. I focus on uncovering your strengths as the foundation to work on areas preventing you from reaching your goals and happiness. My focus This approach works well for anyone wanting to find inner peace and happiness by accessing their own tools. Most of my work is with adolescents and adults, especially those with anxiety, mild depression, and stress. Due to many years working with students in school, I am skilled at helping them achieve school success. My communication style I create a judgment-free, calm environment for sessions. I believe our time together should be peaceful, where clients look forward to working on alleviating symptoms, accomplishing goals, and developing better coping strategies. My journey to mental healthcare I enjoy assisting others and providing a listening ear. I believe people have the power to experience happiness despite difficulties. We can influence our brains and learn skills to handle stress, anxiety, and life challenges.
